Extended Coverage: New Encore Pre-Owned Engine Coverage
Available on ISB, ISC, ISL, ISM, N14, and ISX* (EPA 07 and older) engines in the United States and Canada. Encore coverage is available one time, per owner.
*As of February 1, 2016, EPA 2010 ISX engines are no longer eligible for Encore coverage EP2 & EMC. ISX EPA 2010 are only eligible for Encore Xtra programs.

Encore Protection Plan 2 (EP2) coverage includes:
- Internal components, major components, and major engine systems, including cooled EGR major components
- Registered parts and labor
- Covers all these components, including mounting hardware and gaskets:
- Cylinder head assembly
- Rocker lever assembly
- Piston, rings and liners
- Lube oil cooler assembly
- Cylinder block assembly
- Crankshaft assembly
- Front gear cover
- Oil pan
- Connecting rod assembly
- Lube pump assembly
- Camshaft and bushings
- Cam follower assemblies
- EGR cooler, valve and mixer
Encore Extended Major Components (EMC) includes:
- Encore coverage does not apply to Cummins ReCon engines.
- Encore coverage is not available to the original owner of the vehicle.
Heavy duty engines must be within 6 years and 650,000 miles.
Medium duty engines must be within 6 years and 400,000 miles.

Engine must meet age and usage requirements and pass an inspection by an authorized Cummins distributor or dealer. Coverage Cost does not include the cost of the qualification inspection.

*After the Encore inspection, coverage must be applied (the engine put into service) within 6 months or 500 miles. The eligibility must be still met.
Coverage purchase must be documented on a Cummins Customized Assurance Plan Certificate and registered in IMS within 30 days of the coverage start date. The certificate must be signed and dated by the customer.
